Le monument de Drèd Wilmé dans son quartier
A monument built by the people in his Site Soley neighborhood to remember Drèd Wilmè, the most hunted men in Haiti for 17-months who was slaughtered on July 6, 2005 by a contingent of 300 UN military soldiers. Haitian people, in a ceremony on Oct. 17, 2005, honored Emmanuel Drèd Wilme as their "Hero For the 21st century" by inaugurating a portion of Route 9 as the "Drèd Wilmè Boulevard" in Haiti.
