Nous demandons donc au commissaire du Gouvernement Claudy Gassant d’interpeller l’individu aux lunettes noires sur la photo ci-dessous pour identifier son rôle dans la disparition de Mr. Lovinsky. Nous demandons également au gouvernement Préval de prendre ses responsabilités dans ce dossier, pour empêcher aux forces du mal de triompher. Elles ne veulent que voir une querelle s’établir entre son gouvernement et le secteur populaire haïtien.

Où en est-on avec les recherches pour retrouver Lovinsky Pierre Antoine vivant et qui est cet homme aux lunettes noires sur la photo?

Il y a déjà 15 jours depuis sa disparition et toujours pas de nouvelles a part une demande de rançon faite par les soi-disant kidnappeurs qui n’ont toujours pas donné la chance à sa famille de lui parler pour s’assurer qu’il est encore en vie. Le 14 août, après que la police haïtienne ait confisqué la voiture que conduisait la victime lors de sa capture, un officier du commissariat de Delmas 3 a informé la délégation que du sang fut retrouvé dans la dite auto, information démentie par la police judiciaire (DCPJ) quelques jours plus tard. Quelle est la vérité dans cette affaire?

Mr. Lovinsky a passé une semaine en compagnie de la délégation des droits humains de Projet Prioritaire Haïtien et Fondasyon Mapou, jusqu’à la veille de sa disparition. La délégation s’est rendue aux bureaux de la police de Delmas pour faire part de la disparition de leur voiture de location et donner un avis de recherches pour essayer de retrouver Mr. Lovinsky. Les membres de la délégation ont offert de contribuer aux enquêtes de la police mais ils n’ont même pas été interroge par ce corps qui pourtant dit enquêter sur la disparition de Mr. Lovinsky. Cette attitude évasive de la police judiciaire nous porte à nous questionner sur ses méthodes. Quant on pense à la réaction des autorités concernées et au fait que les kidnappeurs aient attendus quatre jours pour contacter non pas la famille de la victime mais plutôt un membre de la délégation PPH/Fondasyon Mapou on se demande s’il s’agit d’un simple kidnapping ou d’un enlèvement politique.

Nous avons d’autres indices que nous rendrons publiques les jours à venir pour aider à éclaircir les énigmes qui entourent l’enlèvement de Mr. Lovinsky et auxquels nous voulons avoir des réponses et qui peut-être aideraient à identifier l’origine du kidnapping du défenseur des droits de l’homme Haïtien, Lovinsky Pierre Antoine.

Première indice: qui est cet homme blanc aux lunettes noires que la simple vue fait tant peur et crée une panique extrême chez Lovinsky Pierre Antoine le 10 août dernier au Cap Haïtien? Nous vous rappelons que c’est seulement deux jours plus tard, suite à cette rencontre qui parait-il très infortunée aux yeux de Lovinsky qu’il ait disparu , soit le 12 août 2007.

Nous pensons que cet individu sur la photo devrait être identifié et interpellé par la police judiciaire et qu’il pourrait peut-être aider à apporter une certaine lumière à cette enquête. Peut-être que cette disparition que nous croyons être juste le fait de quelques voyous est beaucoup plus compliquée et a non seulement un volet local mais aussi international. Ce qui n’est pas une hypothèse à écarter quand nous pensons aux travaux de Lovinsky en Haïti et à l’étranger où il exposait avec passion les violations des droits humains en Haïti, insistait sur la nécessité d’identifier les violateurs et de les faire comparaître devant la justice.

Nous demandons aux médias d’informations haïtiens et à tous ceux qui s’expriment sur le net de faire très attention à leurs hypothèses pour éviter de mettre davantage en péril la vie de Mr. Lovinsky et celle de tous ceux qui combattent pour un Haïti équitable. Certaines réflexions ne font qu’ouvrir la porte à certaines institutions nationales et internationales qui utilisent les controverses existantes pour agir contre les idées du peuple et commettre des crimes politiques dans le pays en toute impunité. Si Lovinsky Pierre Antoine perd sa vie à cause de nos querelles intestines qui nous empêcheraient de comprendre la vision d’un grand homme qui ne fait que lutter pour la souveraineté Nationale et le respect des droits de tous nos citoyens, c’est qu’ils n’y aient pas des hommes et des femmes dignes de ce nom en Haïti.

The picture below was taken, on August 10, 2007, at the UN-Nepaleze compound in Au Cap at the old prison site. The picture was taken with a cell phone by a member of the Human Rights delegation that Lovinsky Pierre Antoine was shepherding around Haiti. That delegation member reports that when Lovinsky saw the man with the black glasses, he ran outside the compound. Lovinsky reportedly said to the delegation member, the equivalent of - lavie m an danje paske moun sa se lan Anbasad Meriken li soti - his life - freedom - was threatened. And then quickly moved away so not to be seen by the man in the black glasses. Lovinsky explained to that delegation member that the man in the dark glasses was U.S. Embassy personnel. Lovinsky reportedly told that member of the delegation, "Neg sa soti lan anbasad Ameriken."

Lovinsky felt himself in immediate and imminent danger - Lovinsky santi li te menase - said the delegation member to HLLN members in a conference call this date, Sept. 14, 2007.

Who is the man in the black glasses in the photograph and why did his presence create such an uncharacteristic panic in Lovinsky Pierre Antoine just two days before he disappeared in Haiti? This question, HLLN herein respectfully submits to the authorities in Haiti.

Nothing contained herein in this note shall be construed as a claim, judgment or accusation. We make no claims or judgments but await further clarification from the investigating authorities. It is possible also that Lovinsky was mistaken and the noted individual wrongly identified by him as a US Embassy personnel. But, since the members of the Human Rights Delegation were not duly interrogated by the authorities, we help the issuer and author of this pertinent piece of information by forwarding it to one and all. This, and any and all information on this matter may only add to a more thorough and complete investigation - a more thorough questioning and resolution of the disappearance of Lovinsky Pierre Antoine.

Where are we with the search to find Lovinsky Pierre Antoine alive, and who is this man with the black glasses on the photograph?

Thirty days have passed since his disappearance and still no new information aside from a ransom demand made by the so-called kidnappers who have not given his family the opportunity to speak to him to make sure that he is still alive. On August 14, after the Haitian police force confiscated the car which Lovinsky drove before his capture, an officer of Delmas 3 informed the delegation that blood was found in the aforementioned car, information contradicted by the Criminal Investigation Department (DCPJ) a few days later. Which is the truth in this affair?

Mr. Lovinsky spent one week in company of the delegation of the human rights of Haitian Priority Project and Fondasyon Mapou, until the night of his disappearance. The delegation went to the offices of the police force of Delmas to announce the disappearance of the rented car and of Lovinsky and demanded that an all points bulletin be broadcast in order to try to find Mr. Lovinsky. The members of the delegation offered to contribute to the investigation of the police force, but were not even questioned by this body. The police maintained, however, that they are investigating the disappearance of Mr. Lovinsky. This evasive attitude of the Criminal Investigation Department brought us to question its methods. We believe that Mr. Lovinsky was kidnapped for political reasons more than anything else. The fact that the kidnappers waited four days to contact the delegation PPH/Fondasyon Mapou, instead of his family, is what raises this question.

We have other indices, which we will make public in the days to come to help to clear up the enigmas, which surround the removal of Mr. Lovinsky. In addition, we demand answers that perhaps would help identify the origin of the kidnapping of the Haitian defender of the human rights, Lovinsky Pierre Antoine.

First indices: who is this white man with the black glasses whose simple encounter between him and Lovinsky created so much fear and extreme panic in Lovinsky Pierre Antoine on August 10 2007 in Cap-Haitian? Let us remind you that it is only two days later, following this encounter, which appeared very unfortunate for Lovinsky as he disappeared, on August 12, 2007.

We think that this individual on the photograph should be identified and questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department. Perhaps he can help to bring resolution to this investigation. In addition, this disappearance that we believe may be the work of some hooligans is much more complicated and has not only local but international participants. This an assumption to be drawn from when we think of the work of Lovinsky in Haiti and abroad where it exposed with passion the violations of the human rights in Haiti, insisting on the need to identify the transgressors and make them pay.

We request from all media and those that are expressing themselves on the Net to pay great attention to their assumptions in order to avoid putting in more danger the life of Mr. Lovinsky and those who fight for an equitable Haiti. Certain reflections do not to open the door to some national and international institutions, which use the existing controversies to act against the ideas of Haitian masses and to commit political crimes in the country in all impunity. If Lovinsky Pierre Antoine loses his life because of our internal quarrels, which we think prevented us from understanding the vision of a great man who does nothing but fight for our National sovereignty and the respect of the rights of all our citizens. If we let this happen, it means that we do not have men and women worthy of this name in Haiti.

We therefore ask Commissioner Claudy Gassant to challenge the individual with the black glasses on the photograph below, identify his role in the disappearance of Mr. Lovinsky. We further ask the Préval government to take responsibility in this file, to prevent the forces of evil from triumphing. They only want to see quarrels between his government and the Haitian popular sector.
